The Union Cabinet have approved a 4% increase in dearness allowance (DA) for central government employees and dearness relief (DR) for pensioners starting January 1, 2024. This will increase the DA to 50%.

How would it impact your monthly salary:

1. Increase in DA by 4% of Basic Pay

2. Increase in HRA, to be paid @30% in “X” category cities, 20% and 10% in “Y” and “Z” category cities respectively.

3. Increase in Nursing Allowance by 25% (of ₹7200/-) means ₹9000/- per month। 

4. Increase in Dress Allowance by 25% (of ₹1800/-) means ₹2250/- per month

5. Increase in DA on TA by 4%

Minimum increment = ₹5537

Maximum increment = ₹9238
